The vigilance team is investigating the case of the FIR lodged in connection with the embezzlement of crores of rupees in the printing of question papers and evaluation of answer sheets in Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga, under the leadership of DSP cum vigilance case investigator Chandra Bhushan. It is being told that an FIR of embezzlement of more than 20 crores of government money was lodged against the then Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Financial Advisor, Finance Officer and many other officials.

Let us tell you that the monitoring team is going to interrogate the then Vice Chancellor Dr. Samarendra Pratap Singh and Registrar Prof Mustaq Ahmed, Financial Advisor Kailash Ram, Finance Officer Fazle Rehman, College Inspector Ashok Kumar Mehta, Land Estate Officer Kameshwar Paswan, Junior Engineer Keshav Kumar, SM Iqbal today. It is said that in 2021, Rohit Kumar had lodged a complaint under the Right to Information regarding corruption and embezzlement of government funds in Lalit Narayan Mithila University. After investigating the matter, an FIR was registered against all the officials of the university when the complaint was found to be true.
Surveillance team arrived from Patna to investigate
In this regard, the current Vice Chancellor Dr. Sanjay Kumar Chaudhary said that a vigilance team has come from Patna to investigate the embezzlement of government funds. The university administration will fully cooperate with the vigilance team in the investigation. Whatever files will be asked for by the team will be made available. Chandrabhushan, DSP cum investigator of the vigilance team who came to Darbhanga for investigation, said that a case of embezzlement of crores of government funds has been registered in Lalit Narayan Mithila University, which we are currently investigating. Action will be taken against those found guilty in the investigation.
